You should buy a bigger tent.
Excellent video. Thank you. Is mixing valve needed for TILED (PEX inside the mud job) in floor radiant heat? Or is it only applicable for under hardwood floors?
You don't want the floor surface temp to go above 85 degrees. You can run an max of about 125 degree water supply to the floor to achieve this. If this is the only zone on the boiler you can just adjust the boiler supply temp and you won't need a mixing valve.
Do you have any video showing how to convert to a propane? Thank you
I just got one and doing similar upgrades. Will demo it out this week. We'll see. Traded something I already had. Ordering parts.
We never used to pour concrete that soupy on flat work
yeah no slump test im guessing.
Looks pretty square musta had K dog help out
😆
That's amazing 👏👏
Hey! Nice work! Seems like the house is facing straight south, if I’m right could you tell me how you feel the heat in june to august? As I noticed , it seems like your south window openings have been managed accordingly. Tks for sharing.
The back of the house with the 3 sliding doors face east. It makes for amazing surises while laying in bed in the morning. Proper insulation and window glass will make a huge difference depending on your needs.
@@JimSperanza makes sense ! I’m on the brink of a similar construction after having elaborated different house designs, the mono-pitched design always made its way up on the podium on many battles. One thing I’m not quite sure since my high side wall face will be facing straight south (great passive heat collection during winter season but…), I wonder how much should I limit my window openings in order to avoid an oven effect during the summer (sticking to the passive house concept as much as possible - no cooling supply ideally) It is a no brainer for the south face windows to get high quality triple argon glass. How much consideration should I give to this topic ..? I believe that it is crucial at my latitude 🇨🇦 / 🇺🇸 border.
Are you aware of any type of area calculations for ideal window area openings ? We are getting technical here 😅
Looking forward to the build.
No screed needed
I told my girlfriend I thought she drew her eyebrows too high.... She looked surprised
Looks really good, I’m 21, a 3rd year apprentice service plumber trying to get into this type of new construction, heat designing once I get my ticket. I live in British Columbia Canada, and BCIT, offers a Hydronic Heating program which I may take, but I’m interested to get into the field and work on these types of new/custom homes the most. Any suggestions on how to get started or prepare? I’m in service right now and really enjoy it. Just thinking of the next steps.
Everyone has a different story of how they got to where they are. Mine is not conventional or typical. If there's something you want go get it. Grab life by th $%&=*@ and make it what you want!
That’s a great build. How has the Harbor Freight trailer held up? Would you use it again? Thanks for your efforts filming and sharing this.
Hello Jim this is olivo Fabian HVAC 1:35 from PA l saw your idea do you have any phone number or email address
First 8-9 minutes were best video on the Tube for this application
Looks great, not to nit pick your work but running romex through pvc under slab is not up to code, UF is correct. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for catching that. I can pull through some UF no problem.
Thank you for doing this video series, I am looking at doing the same foundation in New Hampshire but didn’t know where to begin until I came across your channel.
How would you add a fourth zone? Where would you land TT on the boiler coming from a Taco board for example?
Great video! I noticed you didn’t use temperature sensors on the return and supply for the heating system, like you have done on other systems. Is there a particular reason?
The supply and return sensors are used for the variable speed delta T circulator. This system uses a fixed speed circulator.
What is that red lever in the back to the side of the seat? On the right side from the perspective of someone sitting in the seat
It allows the bucket to be lowered if you lose engine power. This way your not stuck inside the machine.
Hi Jim! Hey, I know this video is about a year old, but I happen to have the exact same machine and the other day I had my hand throttle quit working. It felt like the cable either broke or snapped or some sort of linkage failed…Now I’m left with only the foot pedal throttle, which I really don’t like to operate it with the foot throttle. Would you mind doing a little tutorial on how to get to and replace the hand throttle cable? Show how to access it etc. there doesn’t seem to be any videos on the subject that I can find. thanks
I'll try to get a video of this when I service my machine. Stay tuned.
@@JimSperanza thanks, looking forward to it! Keep the good content coming!
Was this in a kitchen? Or just another countertop with a sink? Just so you know, 20 amp receptacles are not required for 20 amp circuits, unless there is only one simplex receptacle. BTW, It is a code violation to install neutrals in the lug bar single hole with other conductors. Neutrals are one conductor in one hole. Another thing, Electrical panels are not allowed in bathrooms or clothes closets.
Basement countertop area.
Hi Jim where are you located
Thanks for the quick video! Would you know how to disable the horn honk with the door lock/unlock?
I think cut too much and maybe not go through.
Music gives me Mr. Buffman flashback
Really good thanks for showing
Hey buddy . I'm wondering if I can put that same speedo on my 04 gsxr 750 ?
I'm not 100% sure but I'm guessing not likely since the K6 is 2006-2007.
Good evening, I have a question I was hoping you can help me answer. I have the same combi boiler installed and I tired to do my yearly flush. On the domestic side it went no problem, I recirculated the descaled for 45 minutes, but when I tried to do the main heater exchanger flush I was unable to do so because the water would not circulate. Almost as if the three way valve inside was just stuck closed. How do I open that valve so I can circulate the descaled through the heat exchanger? Any input would be really appreciated. I’m stuck I have no idea how to get past this step. PLEASE HELP.
Where is the magnetic filter?
Do you still use the navien manifold if your using the combo for a hydro unit
Yes
Where are you located
who makes these forms? Thanks
Monoslab EZ Forms
Does the 2x8 stay in?
It's removed after the concrete is done.
@@JimSperanza Does the bottom plate of wall cantilever over the foam?
@steventhury8366 you can do that with 2x6 however I'm not and will be using a step flashing. I'm using a metal siding so it will sit on top of it.
What are you building?
A 4 bed 4 bath 3 car garage ranch home with attic trusses.
Mines clicks really loud when I turn on my furnace and I have to push down that green button for it too work don’t know what too replace on it
Ypu can replace the solenoid only without having to mess with any piping. There is a clip on the back to remove it and there is a qire connector to remove the wiring.
Great vid. Do you have a website link for these tracks?
tracksplus.com/skid-loader-tracks/
I would build a castle on a well tamped bed of crusher
About 8 inches of CR1 and rake out 2 inches of washed 1 inch and she's perfecto!
I'm a lone worker myself. For me, other people around disrupts my concentration. Of course, no one knows everything, so I get my human input from RUclips. I can start, take breaks, quit, at my own convenience which I like the most. Having things like skidloaders and laser levels make it possible.
Hello, I’ve been watching a lot of your videos and really enjoy how you explain everything and how clean and organized your set ups are. I was curious if you could let me know what those brackets are called that you use to hold up the pipes? Also, what is the part number or name of the check valve and feed fitting that brings water into the system? Thank you very much for your response and help
Split ring clamps and ceiling plates. You can use a dual check backflow preventer for the water feed. Email me at speranzadevelopment@gmail.com if you'd like a design and parts lists or consulting on a build.

WINNIE THE POOH
This is hilarious I've always hated my voice but have never heard Winnie the pooh! Haha 🤣
If whinnie the poo was into construction. From the start of the video that's all I can hear 😂
This is hilarious I've always hated my voice but have never heard Winnie the pooh! Haha 🤣
@@JimSperanza I swear I meant no disrespect I just couldn't unhear it. No negativity intended. Definitely not a voice worth hating my guy. Don't let idiots online like me add to that feeling either. From the one short I watched you clearly have way more going for you then I do or most of us online dwellers anyway. Keep doing you. Be it Winnie or Pooh 🤣
@kwamefuller4415 no offense taken at all my friend! I always find the funny in anyones comments. Thanks for watching and stay well!
Shortest conduit I have ever seen.
Did you change your gears? How did the tires impact the MPG?
How many square feet will it be?
3600 of slab including the garage. About 2800 of living space plus about 1500 sq ft of attic space using attic trusses
Love the design and love the music!
I hate liars! It wasn't a dead pull! the dozer basically drove itself out! That Dodge pick-up was for show.
